Want to add an extra layer of security to your mobile banking experience? With the Amplify Mobile app, you can add Touch ID, Face ID, or a passcode lock to your login process on supported devices. This added security will make it harder for anyone else to access Online Banking on your phone or tablet while also speeding up your login process. In this section, we explore these three security procedures and explain how to set them up on your devices.

Key Takeaways:

  • You can enable Face ID, Touch ID, and a unique passcode in your phone settings. You can also enable some (or all) of these features on the online banking login page.
  • You can disable your active security measures in the Security Preferences screen in online banking.

How do I set up Touch ID in Amplify Mobile?

Touch ID is a fingerprint identity sensor used on Apple products as an extra layer of security. To set up Touch ID on your Apple device, follow these four steps:

  1. Tap the Settings app on your device's home screen.
  2. Tap Touch ID & Passcode and enter your current passcode.
  3. Tap Add a Fingerprint.
  4. Place your finger on your device's Home button. You will be asked to press and depress the "Home" button multiple times, including with the outer areas of your finger. This process will ensure that an accurate scan of your fingerprint has been captured.

Once you have enabled Touch ID on your device, you can activate it in the Amplify Mobile app by selecting Settings in the online banking sidebar. From there, select Security Preferences and enable Touch ID in the device. The next time you attempt to log into the Amplify Mobile app, you can use your fingerprint in addition to your member identification number and password.

You can also set up Touch ID on the login screen for the Amplify Credit Union app. Click on the Touch ID button at the bottom of the screen and then click on Enroll Now.

How do I set up Face ID in Amplify Mobile?

Face ID works by using Apple's custom TrueDepth camera to capture both a depth map and an infrared scan of your face. Facial recognition can map over 30,000 reference points, and this face data allows you to quickly and securely make payments and securely log into apps.

To set up Face ID on your Apple device, follow these four steps:

  1. Tap the Settings app on your device's home screen.
  2. Tap Touch ID & Passcode and enter your current passcode.
  3. Tap Set Up Face ID.
  4. Hold your phone in front of your face and select Get Started. You will then be asked to move your head in a clockwise manner within the outlined area on the screen. This process will occur twice to ensure an accurate face scan.

Once you have enabled Face ID on your device, you can activate it in the Amplify Mobile app by selecting Settings in the online banking sidebar. From there, select Security Preferences and enable Face ID in the device. The next time you attempt to log into the Amplify Mobile app, you will have the option to scan your face in addition to the traditional member identification number and password.

How do I seet up a passcode in Amplify Mobile?

How do I set up a passcode in Amplify Mobile?

The Passcode feature in Amplify Mobile gives you the option to enter a unique passcode to authenticate your Mobile Banking session. This passcode will replace the Login ID and password associated with your Online Banking account. To set up a new passcode in Amplify Mobile, follow these three steps:

  1. Open Amplify Mobile on your smartphone or tablet.
  2. Tap Settings, then Security Preferences, in the mobile banking sidebar.
  3. Enable the Passcode feature on the next screen.
  4. Tap Create Passcode. You will be prompted to create a four-digit passcode that is specific to this application and device pairing. For security purposes, you will be asked to input this passcode twice.

Once enabled, this feature will only work on your current device. If you have the Amplify Mobile app downloaded on multiple devices, you will need to create a separate passcode for each one. We also recommend that you do not use your ATM or Debit Card PIN as your Amplify Mobile passcode.

You can also set up a passcode on the login screen for the Amplify Credit Union app. Click on the Passcode button at the bottom of the screen. You may be asked to log back into online banking before you can set a new passcode.

How do I disable my additional security measures?

You can disable any active additional security measures from inside the Amplify Credit Union app. Click on Settings in the online banking sidebar, then click on Security Preferences. This screen will give you the option to enable or disable the Touch ID, Face ID, and passcode functions for online banking.
