Your online banking is getting an upgrade. On Wednesday, September 10, Amplify Credit Union will launch a brand new home screen in online banking, as well as introduce push notifications with two-factor authentication for Amplify members. In this article, we will walk you through some of the biggest changes as well as some of the ways to personalize your new dashboard view in online banking.

Key Takeaways:

  • Amplify will launch a new homepage experience in online banking on September 10.
  • For the first time, members can set up push notifications for two-factor authentication when logging into online banking on desktop and mobile devices.
  • Our new homepage experience will also allow members to customize their dashboard view with simplified account and transaction feeds.

What is changing?

On Wednesday, September 10, Amplify will launch a new homepage experience in online banking. When you log in on your desktop or mobile device, you will find a new dashboard view in online banking that better visualizes your account and transaction activities. You will also be given the option to set up push notifications for two-factor authentication.

Is the online banking menu different?

Yes. To accommodate our new dashboard view, a few changes have been made to our online banking menu. These include consolidating certain links under the same menu button. But don’t worry: all step-by-step directions in Ask Amplify articles will be updated on September 10 with the new instructions.

How do I customize my new online banking dashboard?

Once you log into online banking, you will have the option to change  the accounts that appear on your online banking home screen. You can also update the names of your accounts in just a few clicks to ensure that your dashboard is as accurate as possible.

Step 1: Favorite Accounts

To have an account show up on your home screen, you will need to highlight that account as a favorite. You can highlight up to 20 accounts in your dashboard view.

  • Click on View All Accounts on the online banking home screen.
  • Click on the star icon (☆) next to the account you wish to favorite.
  • If you no longer want an account to appear on the home screen, you can click on the star icon a second time to unfavorite it.

Step 2: Reorder Accounts

Once you have favorited accounts, you can then choose the order they appear on the online banking home screen. This will help customize your dashboard view to show the accounts you check most regularly.

  • Click on View All Accounts on the online banking home screen.
  • Press and hold the vertical ellipses (⋮⋮) to drag an account up or down the list.
  • Repeat this action for any accounts you wish to reorder.

Remember: reordering your accounts is particularly important for the mobile version of online banking, where your accounts are presented as tiles that can be swiped left or right.

Step 3: Nickname Accounts

Now that you have organized your home screen selections, the final step is to add nicknames for each of your accounts. This can be useful for the dashboard account view, but it is also ensures that transactions in your Recent Activity section are clearly labeled.

  • Click the horizontal ellipses (…) beneath the account details.
  • Click Nickname.
  • Enter a descriptive name for your account in the Account Nickname field.
  • Click Save.

When you return to the home screen, you will see that your Recent Activity and Account sections now include the nickname of the transacting account.

How do I turn on push notifications?

When you log into the updated mobile app, scheduled to release on Wednesday, September 10, you will be given the option to allow push notifications on the account. If you select Allow Notifications, you will then be able to use push notifications as a two-factor authentication method when logging into online banking on your desktop or mobile device.
