Earlier this month, our team made the difficult decision to temporarily close two of our branches. In this article, we explain the reason for this decision and provide important information about banking services at Cedar Park, La Frontera, and elsewhere.

Key Takeaways:

  • Amplify is temporarily closing our Cedar Park and La Frontera locations.
  • Night drop and ATM services will remain available at both branches.
  • Full banking services - including drive-thru services - will be available at both our Esperanza Crossing and Pond Springs branches.

Why Did Amplify Temporarily Close These Branches?

On January 4, Amplify Chief Experience Officer Stacy Armijo published an open letter to the community detailing our decision to temporarily close our Cedar Park and La Frontera branches. In this letter, Ms. Armijo addressed some of our ongoing staffing challenges and expressed our desire to protect the physical and mental health of our existing team.

"Until we have the staff in place to consistently deliver on our promise of quality, we have made the tough decision to scale back in-person services," she wrote. "We know that our standards create the positive experiences our members deserve, and we believe we can serve you best from our Esperanza Crossing and Pond Springs branches for the time being."

What Branches Are Still Open?

While our Cedar Park and La Frontera locations are temporarily closed, Amplify will be able to fully staff both our Esperanza Crossing and Pond Springs branches. Since these branches offer full drive-thru services to our members, they allow us to continue to serve our members safely and securely even as the City of Austin updates its COVID-19 Risk-Based Guidelines.
