When Amplify launched fee-free banking in 2022, our goal was to make it easier for our members to spend their money without fear of costly fees. That makes a fee-free bank account with Amplify the perfect partner for peer-to-peer payment apps like Venmo and PayPal. In this article, we will explain how to connect your Amplify account to several of the most popular payment platforms.

Key Takeaways:

  • You can connect your Amplify account to peer-to-peer payment platforms like Venmo, PayPal, and Cash App in just minutes.
  • You will not be charged overdraft or insufficient funds fees should you accidentally attempt to bring your account into a negative balance.

Will I be charged overdraft fees for transactions on payment platforms?

If a peer-to-peer payment such as a Venmo or PayPal transaction would accidentally bring your account into a negative balance, Amplify’s commitment to fee-free banking means you will not be charged an overdraft fee. Instead, depending on your level of overdraft coverage, the charge may be applied to a linked account or rejected outright.
